Antonio Pappano - Bernstein: The 3 Symphonies

Aby uczcić stulecie urodzin Leonarda Bernsteina, Sir Antonio Pappano dyryguje trzema symfoniami amerykańskiego kompozytora oraz "Prelude, Fuge and Riffs".
Orchestra dell'Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia długo współpracowała z Bernsteinem, który po raz pierwszy dyrygował zespołem w 1948 roku.
"Uważam, że te symfonie są odkrywcze w prawdziwym znaczeniu tego słowa" - mówi Pappano. "Są niezwykle emocjonalne i osobiste( ... ) W sercu, Lenny był pełen pragnienia, by braterstwo człowieka było czymś prawdziwym i konkretnym (... ) Jako wielki człowiek renesansu, starał się uczynić świat dobrym. " - dodaje maestro.
W nagraniach wzięli udział wybitni soliści, w tym niezwykle utalentowana pianistka młodego pokolenia, która przebojem przejmuje najważniejsze światowe estrady - Beatrice Rana. Znakomity album, pełen żywiołowej ekspresji. Ważna pozycja w płytotece każdego fana Leonarda Bernsteina!
